KSRA ENTRY LEVEL CLINICS REQUEST PROCESS
The KSRA routinely schedules USSF Entry Level Clinics and Re-Certification Clinics in each of its four districts. These are generally twice yearly and are located in the metropolitan areas. If a local affiliate desires to host an Entry Level Clinic or a Re-Certification Clinic in its area they may apply to the KSRA District Referee Administrator. The request must provide a Local Contact Person, suitable location, a Primary Date and a Secondary Date. The District Administrator will make the necessary scheduling decisions.
The District Referee Administrator for District Three is Billy Way and may be contacted at (502) 241-9414.
The purpose of the following procedure is to provide an incentive to the hosting affiliate to do the work necessary to host a successful clinic. This work would involve appropriate advertising and communicating with potential attendees. Hopefully, this procedure is never required, but, history has shown that great intentions sometimes result in less than desirable results. desired.
By officially requesting a clinic, a local affiliate is then considered the clinic's host and is guaranteeing a minimum number of 20 attendees. To satisfy this commitment, the District Referee Administrator has the option to request that a check payable to KSRA and in the amount of $900 be submitted in advance. In fact, the District Referee Administrator has the option to not schedule the clinic until the $900 check is received. KSRA will then hold the check until the day of the clinic.
If the class size is 20 or more students, the District Referee Administrator will return the check to the hosting affiliate within 2 weeks. If the class size is less than 20 students, the affiliate will create an adjusting check for the difference in the minimum of twenty minus the number of attendees. This shall be computed by using $45 for all Entry Level. The new check shall be delivered to the District Referee Administrator. Upon reception of the new check, the District Referee Administrator shall return the original check to the hosting affiliate. If an adjusting check is not received within 30 days of the clinic termination, KSRA shall deposit the original check and consider the matter closed.
The Hosting Affiliate's classroom location will require the following assets:
* The location should adequately seat approximately 50 attendees.
* Chalkboard or Marker board is required.
* Television and VCR.
* Overhead Projector and Picture Screen.
